Qatar Balloon Festival is one of the most sought-after events in the Qatar calendar. This year, the ongoing event has been sponsored by Doha Festival City, which is the ultimate destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment in the country. The fourth edition has been a highly anticipated event and this year it’s featuring a display of more than 50 hot air balloons in a variety of shapes and colours.

As the Qatar Balloon Festival draws to an end on December 18, it’s currently taking place in Katara with a slew of entertainment and activities for visitors of all ages. And building on the success of the previous editions, this festival has once again planned on showcasing giant kites according to reports. Thereby offering visitors a chance to launch their own kites, adding to its momentum.

Besides more than 50 hot air balloons taking flight in a variety of shapes and colours, the event will showcase a family area with inflatable castles. Moreover, a variety of games for children and an international street food court will also be there to ensure people have a fun-filled time. As such, a VIP Majlis is also available for special guests.

In case you’re wondering, the participants are hailing from France, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Greece, Germany, Hungary, Belgium, Turkey, the United States, Slovenia, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Macedonia, Croatia, Brazil, Spain, Ireland, Germany, and Saudi Arabia. So, you can certainly expect some seriously creative and beautiful hot air balloons!

So with the festival’s itinerary spanning from morning to afternoon, the flights are taking across various city locations like Sports City, the Desert, Lusail, Katara, and other places. In fact, the upcoming days show a variety of roaming acts, parades, and nightglow shows scheduled for the evening. Besides this, of course, one can also be a part of the event by flying in the hot air balloons.
