In a landmark move, Air India Express became the first airline to operate from the Surat International Airport and provide connectivity between the diamond city and Dubai, the city of gold. The flights will begin on December 17, 2023. You can book tickets from all major travel booking platforms as well as from the website of the airline. Here are all the important details that you would need to know about this particular historic move for Air India Express. 

Air India Express To Connect Surat And Dubai

If you live in the Surat city of Gujarat and frequently travel to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates or UAE, then we have good news for you! You now have more airline options than ever before! Air India Express has recently made an announcement stating that it will be offering flights between Dubai and Surat. The diamond city and the city of gold just came closer to one another!

According to the press release by the airline, Air India Express is the only airline that offers international flights from Surat. On December 17, 2023, the airline will fly from Surat to Dubai. The flight will depart from Surat at 11:40 AM and land in Dubai at 1:30 PM. It will then depart from Dubai by 2:30 PM and land in Surat at 7 PM.

The fares for the flight start at ₹11,111. From Dubai, it costs AED 499. You can book tickets for the flight on any of the major travel booking platforms. In addition to this, you can also book tickets from the official website of the airline. In addition to Surat, Air India Express also offers flights to and from other UAE destinations like Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Al Ain, and more!

First Airline To Do So From The Surat International Airport

This is a historic milestone that the airline has achieved. It is the first airline to provide connectivity between the city of gold and the diamond city. Aloke Singh, who is the Managing Director of Air India Express in the press release said that Air India Express had a strong connection to Surat and has, in the past, piloted flights from here to Sharjah.

As of now, the airline connects Dubai to 11 Indian destinations like Kochi, Kannur, Amritsar, Goa, Indore, Jaipur, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Mangalore and Tiruchirapalli as well as Thiruvananthapuram. It also connects Surat with four destinations, Delhi, Bengaluru and Kolkata as well as Sharjah. By offering this latest flight route, it has brought the two cities closer.
